Project Completion – Westlink successfully delivers Battery Mudmat for the Janz-Io Subsea Compression Project

Westlink has successfully completed the transport of a battery mudmat for the Janz-Io Subsea Compression Project, delivering the oversized load from Kwinana to Karratha, Western Australia.

The load measured 36.10 metres long, 13.20 metres wide, and weighed 36.10 tonnes. Transported on a 4x4 low loader with a 2x4 dolly, the delivery was completed over one week.

Services provided by Westlink included:

• Technical review of transport drawings & arrangements

• Deliver scheduling & coordination

• Supplier interface management

• On site supervision for loading and delivery out

Careful route planning and early coordination ensured the oversized load was delivered safely and on time, with zero LTIs.

One of the project's highlights was transporting a load measuring 8.46 metres wide, just under Perth's 8.50-metre transport limit.
