Westlink managed the full end-to-end logistics management for the delivery of new locomotives from Norfolk, USA to landing the locomotives on track in Port Hedland, Australia. This shipment of locomotives was successfully delivered in addition to over two hundred (200) similar units previously delivered to this customer by Westlink.

Pre-shipment quarantine inspection and cleaning of locomotives
Rail haulage – locomotive factory, Muncie to Port of Norfolk, USA Craneage and cleaning – gantry lifting for final pre-shipment cleaning and inspection
Heavy Lift Vessel (HLV) – Norfolk, USA to Port Hedland, Australia SPMT – from vessel hook to port lay down and then to customer’s Port Hedland rail yard
Craneage – gantry lifting and landing of locomotives from SPMTs to rail head
