Westlink was engaged to provide end-to-end logistics for structural steel sections, large bins and modules fabricated in Tianjin, China to be used in the expansion of Rio Tinto’s West Angelas mine site in the Pilbara region of Australia.
Scope
Pre-shipment quarantine inspection of structural steel in China Multipurpose
Vessels (MPP) and Heavy Lift Vessel (HLV) – Tianjin, China to Port Hedland, Australia
Oversized haulage – vessel hook to Rio Tinto West Angeles mine site
Construction coordination – coordination with site team to unload trailers for direct install or laydown
