Westlink was engaged to provide a multimodal logistics solution for structural steel sections, large bins and modules fabricated in Tianjin and Qingdao, China to be used in the construction of an iron ore screenhouse at Rio Tinto’s Cape Lambert operations in the Pilbara region of Australia.
Scope
SPMT and heavy haulage – fabrication yard to vessel hook at Tianjin and Qingdao
Heavy Lift Vessel (HLV) – Tianjin and Qingdao to Port Hedland and Port Walcott
Tug and barge – Port Walcott to Cape Lambert barge landing facility
SPMT – barge landing to screenhouse project site at Rio Tinto Cape Lambert operations
