Westlink successfully executed the delivery of structural steel conveyor sections and preassemblies for the BHP Prominent Hill Copper Expansion project in South Australia. The end-to-end logistics operation involved the transportation management of 1,000 tonnes of steel from Phu My, Vietnam to the project site in South Australia.
Scope
• Pre-shipment quarantine inspection of steel in Vietnam
• Multipurpose Vessels (MPPs) – Phu My, Vietnam to Adelaide, South Australia
• Discharge coordination at Flinders Port (Adelaide), South Australia
• Inland transport of steel to project site for both in-gauge and oversized loads
