PROJECT OVERVIEW

Westlink was responsible for the end-to-end transport of structural steel, preassemblies, and conveyor trusses for BHP Nickel West’s Mt Keith De-Bottlenecking Project from a Western Australian fabrication yard.

SCOPE

  • Pre-shipment inspections at fabrication yard

  • Oversize and General Haulage of structural steel from factory to mine site

  • Oversized Traffic Management – escorts, wardens, and overhead powerline management

  • Construction Coordination – coordination with site team to unload trailers into laydown or direct installation.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Zero LTIs

  • Delivery of one hundred and seventy-five (175) trailer loads over six (6) months. 

  • Seamless integration of Westlink personnel within the project team

  • No missed warden / escort dates
