Westlink managed the cleaning, packaging, loading and international transportation for various components of a RM80-750 ballast cleaning machine from Velletri, Italy and Zutphen, Netherlands to rail head in Port Hedland, Australia. The machine was demobilised from Port Hedland and transported by Westlink from Fremantle, Australia to Gioia Tauro, Italy and Rotterdam, Netherlands after the ballast cleaning program was complete.

SCOPE

  • Pre-shipment cleaning programs in both Zutphen, Netherlands and Velletri, Italy

  • Shrink and tarpaulin wrapping on all machinery

  • Rail and Road Haulage – from Zutphen and Velletri to Rotterdam and Civitavecchia respectively

  • Multipurpose Vessels (MPP) – separate vessels from Rotterdam and Civitavecchia to Fremantle

  • Road Haulage and Craneage – from vessel hook to Hazelmere Rail Yard for unload and pre-commissioning

  • Road Haulage and Craneage – from Hazelmere Rail Yard to Port Hedland Rail yard and unloading of trailers to rail head for commissioning
