PROJECT OVERVIEW

Westlink was engaged to provide the end-to-end logistics management for the international transportation of six (6) used locomotives from Durban, South Africa to landing the locomotives on track in Port August, Australia.

SCOPE

  • Pre-shipment quarantine inspection and cleaning of locomotives

  • Rail haulage - locomotive factory, Wentworth to Durban port, South Africa

  • Roll-On-Roll-Off Vessel (RoRo) - Durban, South Africa to Melbourne, Australia

  • Heavy Haulage - from vessel hook to customer's Port Augusta rail yard
