Westlink was engaged to provide a multimodal logistics solution for 260 kilometres of 3LPE coated line pipe from Kuantan to two different ports in Australia, namely Geraldton and Henderson. The line pipe was required for upgrades to two sections of the Dampier Bunbury Pipeline (DBP) – Stages Neerabup B and 5B. The DBP is critical infrastructure that delivers gas to residents and industry of Western Australia.

SCOPE

  • Pre-shipment quarantine inspection at coating yard in Kuantan, Malaysia

  • Multipurpose Vessel (MPP) – Kuantan, Malaysia to either Geraldton or Henderson, Australia

  • Haulage, unloading and marshalling – delivery of line pipe within port limits at laydown yard
