PROJECT OVERVIEW

Westlink managed the full turnkey logistics scope for structural steel, pipe racks, hoppers and tanks from Shanghai, China to the Roy Hill iron ore mine site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. This steel sections and modules were used in the expansion of Roy Hill’s Wet High Intensity Magnetic Separator (WHIMS) plant.

SCOPE

  • Pre-shipment quarantine inspection of structural steel in China

  • Ocean Freight – Shanghai, China to Dampier and Port Hedland, Australia

  • Oversized haulage – from vessel hook to Roy Hill mine site

  • Construction coordination – coordination with site team to unload trailers for direct install or laydown
