PROJECT OVERVIEW

Westlink was engaged to provide the marine transportation of one hundred and eighty-seven (187) piles from Taicang, China to Cape Lambert Private Wharf (Port Walcott) in Dampier, Australia. These marine piles were used in the refurbishment of Rio Tinto’s Cape Lambert A Wharf for the Dolphin Head Life Extension Project.

SCOPE

  • Pre-shipment inspections at pile fabrication yard in Taicang, China

  • Multipurpose Vessel (MPP) – transportation of piles from Taicang to Port Walcott

  • Site coordination – quarantine clearance at non-proclaimed port, coordination of delivery to laydown
