PROJECT OVERVIEW

Westlink was engaged to relocate two Pacific Patrol Boats for refurbishment and repair. The Patrol Boats were lifted from water in Fiji and Tonga and delivered to water at Cairns, Australia via a heavy lift vessel. This opportunity was awarded to Westlink by the Australian Defence Force (ADF) for which it has been a qualified subcontractor for the ADF Sealift Panel since 2013.

SCOPE

  • Pre-lift inspection and structural integrity verification completed prior to vessel arrival in Tonga and Fiji

  • Coordination with the local Navy at each load port to facilitate vessel hand over

  • Heavy Lift Vessel (HLV) – Nuku’alofa, Tonga and Suva, Fiji to Cairns, Australia
